I don't even know what you call this

It is not crawling, it is not walking....maybe crawking or wawling. Whatever, for the past 4-5 days, this has been Emerson's form of getting around. She cruises around the house on her knees in an upright position. She has realized that if she is upright, she can carry things in her arms.

The amazing thing is that our house is almost entirely tile. It is painful to watch because I can only imagine how much it hurts. Her little knees and shins are so pitiful and bruised. This has to be a step closer to walking....right?

Just for fun, here are some cute, messy lunch pics from this afternoon.

Very interesting....well at least she seems to have some interest in progressing from crawling!! I think it is great progress!!

Cute girl! Looks like she is getting braver and braver and will be walking (on her feet!) any day now :)

I think it is only a matter of time before she is walking!!! At least she is not flopping around the floor like a fish out of water - that is how Jenna gets to where she wants to where she wants to go!!! (and we have tile too, I am always afraid she will hurt herself!!) I love love love Emerson's hair!!! It is getting so long!!!

this is so funny. a friend of mine has 3 little girls (7, 2, 1) and both of the youngest did not start crawling until 16 months. they both crawled on their knees for months. it was the funniest thing i have ever seen and boy, were they fast!!! she is so cute. really, if we lived close to one another i think mackenzie and her would be best friends. they really would be so cute next to eachother in their blonde hair and blue eyes. haha

So funny... I guess she figures she doesn't have as far to fall that way, ha!
