Spring!

Spring is finally here! The best thing about this time of year is all the fun we have getting back outdoors. Emerson literally just runs and screams in the backyard for hours...as if she has been waiting all winter to do it. It is precious and hillarious at the same time.

Here is a cute picture of Emerson enjoying the backyard after church today.

In other news, to tell you more about our "announcement"...we are due September 15th. This pregnancy has been so similar and yet so different from the one with Emerson. I have been so tired this time and already look significantly pregnant even though I am only 16 weeks. We are set to find out the gender on April 19th. So excited about this...Any guesses as to what this baby is?

i feel your pain, sister. i felt so pregnant and lethargic in the beginning, it didn't even seem possible. i thought, "how can I be showing this much?" and "am I seriously this tired b/c of being pregnant?" It kind of gets better... :)

Every pregnancy is different. However, the second time around your body is already stretched out etc. so you will look bigger quicker and the child will most likely be bigger than your first. The uncomfortable symptoms of pregnancy will also occur ealier than they did during the first. The good news is that labor and deliver will take (on average) about 1/2 the time.

The tired is mostly due to the fact that you already have a little one with whom to keep up and so you won't get to nap during the day and go to bed as early as you did during the first pregnancy. Just make sure you are on a good prenatal with lots of folic acid and Vit. D for your energy level. Vit B6 will help with nausea if you are having any. Most importantly sleep when you can and prop your feet up every time you sit down.

As far as guessing what you are having..... I had 2 boys, B had two girls so I am going to say that you'll end up with one of each - so a little boy this time around. I am looking forward to knowing what color to knit in regardless...... =)
