Today

(This is the reaction I got when I pulled a roly poly bug out of his mouth)

(This is the reaction I got when I told a knock-knock joke using the word "poopy" to get her to laugh)

The quality of this picture is terrible because the lighting was bad, but the moment was too sweet to pass up. Emy was playing patty-cake with Ashton after he ate. He was laughing and squealing with excitement. It was so sweet.

Pool Fun & 9mo stats

Lots of pool fun so far this summer. Emy had splash playdate with friends from school. All the girls climbed in this tiny pool at the same time. It was adorable listening to their giggles.

Ashton loves this little splash mat thing we have. He hated it at first, but now he goes nuts when he sees daddy setting up. He goes to town in it. And loves watching Emerson play with him.

And because I forgot to post them earlier, his 9 month stats are as follows:

20lbs 2oz- 42%
29.5in- 85%

Splish Splash

It was bound to happen someday. I was putting dishes away from lunch and head a splash. I knew what the sound was before Emerson even came running to tell me.

Ashton had tipped over Toby's water bowl and was playing in the mess.

By the sound of the splashing, I could tell Ash was having fun. So, being the super practical mom that I am, I grabbed the camera before the towels:)

And in other Ashton news, this is the cute face that he makes when he is concentrating. It is precious. Glad I finally caught it on camera.

Ashton is 9 months old!

Ashton is 9 months. I have actually started thinking about his first birthday party. Crazy.

I put him in his crib this morning to take his monthly picture like every other month. Ashton wanted no part of sitting and smiling for the camera. You see, he is now a boy on the move. As of last week he is officially a crawler. And a puller-uper. And apparently fearless. This boy will be standing and holding on to something and he totally tries to show off by letting go. He is no where near walking yet but he still tries to be a tough guy. This ends in him falling on his face every single time, but he still tries none-the-less.

In other news, Ashton finally has TWO teeth! Whew, I thought they would never come. He really likes to show them off too. If you say, "Look at Ashy's big boy teeth" he just scrunches up his face and gives you a big open mouth grin. It's cute.

Lately he also likes to "dance" with Emerson. I am going to try to get it on video because it is hilarious. At least we think it is.

His 9 month well check is Friday morning, so I will have stats to post then.
