A Very Merry Christmas

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We sure did. We had family here and loved that we had a white Christmas. It was super special this year with Emerson. She absolutely loved the season and all the excitement that went with it. She got really into celebrating Baby Jesus' birthday and Santa. We celebrated Advent every night and she thoroughly enjoyed the stories and treats that went with it.

Santa was really good to us all this year, especially me. I got the most fantastic thing of all....a new camera! So, beware that this post is chock full of pictures!

We're Back

Did you miss us? I am FINALLY finished with orders, my school semester has wrapped up and I have even gotten all the gifts wrapped. So needless to say, my life is much more relaxed these days. I am not sure how much blogging will happen this week since it is the week of Christmas but I will attempt to get back into the swing of things in the new year.

Until then, here are a couple of pictures from Emerson in a spontaneous photo shoot earlier this week.

Photography Contest Winner

Just a little shop talk here.

The Noodles & Milk photography contest was a huge success. I had so many photos to choose from. I had a panel of my closest friends vote on their favorites. The overwhelming winner is Ellen Grant. These 2 photos came in at the top 2. They (along with many of the others) will be used to advertise products in the shop when it re-opens after the holidays.

Speaking of the shop, it is bare right now because I am no longer accepting holiday orders. I plan on leaving it relatively empty until after Christmas at which time it will partially re-open. For the month of January, it will have all the baby gift items listed but not a lot clothing. The reasoning behind this is that my graduate school comprehensive exams are in the beginning of February. I need to pass these exams in order to graduate in May. So, I am only partially opening the store so that I can focus Januay on studying for the exam (which is 4 questions and 10 hours!)

In February, the shop will re-open fully with lots of new designs. In the meantime, I will still take custom orders should you need something extra special. Just email me or convo me through etsy to let me know your requests.

We are still here...

Yes, it has been 2.5 weeks since the last post. Sorry about that. Although we have been missing from the blog world, there has been a lot going on here...

Honestly, I really don't have time for an update now. With the holidays here and Noodles & Milk getting crazy busy I don't forsee any good updates until after Christmas. Sorry.

Quickly, I will update you on the past couple weeks. We went to Houston and San Antonio over Thanksgiving. Emerson did great the week we were gone but we are all glad to be home. This past Saturday we went to a Christmas parade and lights show in Johnson City. It was the first time Emerson went to a parade AND the first time for her to meet Santa. She loved the parade and hated Santa. Here are some pics from Johnson City in no particular order.

Happy Holidays!

Go Frogs!

It is gonna be a great weekend! Gameday is in Fort Worth on the TCU campus. The biggest game of our season, let alone school's history (almost) is tomorrow and the Frogs are favored. We have our tickets, our tailgating plans and our purple shirts. We are all set for a thrilling Saturday!

Fort Worth's mayor named today "Go Purple" day. He encouraged all Fort Worth residents to wear purple. While Emy was at school this morning (in her purple outfit) I was out and about and I have to say that I saw a lot of purple. It is pretty cool to see the city support TCU.

After I picked Emerson up from school, we got in the stroller and cruised through the TCU campus to see all the Gameday set-up stuff. It is so cool. There were not a ton of people out there yet, but they are expecting a huge crowd to camp out tonight. I cannot imagine how fun that would be if I was still in school.

Here are some pics from the set up this afternoon.
