What Emerson wants for Christmas
On the way home from school today:
Me: "Emerson, what do you want Santa to bring you for Christmas?"
Emy: "A baby."
Me: "You have plenty of babies, is there something else you would like Santa to bring you?"
Emy: "Food."
Me: "What kind of food?"
Emy: "Corn and peppers."
Me: "Really?"
Emy: "That's what I said."
Oookkkaaayyyy....
For the record, Emy does not need any more babies:)

Go Frogs
Ashton thoroughly enjoyed his first TCU game. He was so good. Even though it was really loud, he was so relaxed and only fussed a little. It was pretty chilly, so we kept him bundled up and he was even able to sleep for about 45 minutes!

Randomness from last week
On Sunday morning, Emerson and Ashton were laying on our bed and we were all just hanging out. They were both looking at me and I had one of those moments where I could totally see the major resemblence between the two. It was uncanny.
I also realized that the lighting was perfect, so I grabbed my camera and snapped some shots:)

Family Photos
When Ashton was 9 days old we had a great photographer come to the house to take photos of Ash and our family. Dana from Tin Star Photography did a fantastic job. She worked with our furniture and lighting to come up with great backdrops within our own home. Dana was also amazing with Emerson and totally patient with a fussy baby. Here are a few of the amazing shots she got.

Halloween 2010 recap: Part 2
On Halloween evening we were invited to a hayride/trick-or-treating extravaganza as (Stephanie put it). Some of Emy's favorite friends host the event annually and we could not wait to partcipate since our neighborhood is not so trick-or-treating friendly.
The evening started with hot dogs and chilli and the kiddos getting their face's painted. After a little playtime it was time to hit the streets. We got to ride on a huge trailer which was perfect for our group of little ones.
This neighborhood was so fun! So many houses participated and there were tons of trailers out with groups. Seriously, we passed at least 5 other trailer groups. It was so fun!
Emerson loved trick or treating. We only had a few incidents where she got scared, although one of them she was down right terrified. A little boy (probably 7 or so) was standing behind her at a house and he had on a realistic skeleton mask. She was litterally pulling me away with all her strength. She eventually started screaming and when I picked her up she burried her face in me, It was sad.
Other than that little piece of drama, it was a lot of fun. Ashton and Daddy stayed home since we knew it would be a late night and that made it a special mommy-daughter night.

Halloween 2010 recap: Part 1
Okay, so Halloween was a seriously busy time around here this year. Emerson had a lot of social invitations. We opted to only participate in 2 things. On Saturday, we went to Boo at the Zoo. The event went through some changes this year and was held during the day and in a very contained area. I really liked the new time and set-up but was annoyed with the fact that we had to buy a ticket for Ashton. Seriously, he doesn't even have teeth- how is he going to eat candy? Whatever, we did it and made a mental note for the future.
Emerson got really into Halloween this year. She was pumped to finally get to wear her Snow White costume and get candy. She kept prancing around in a half princess-half ballerina fashion saying, "I'm a pretty princess".
Boo at the Zoo has lots of games and treat stations but all Emy wanted to do was get candy. Literally, at one point I asked her, "Emerson, do you want to go play some games and win prizes?". Her response, "No, I just want to get the candy". Okay then.
